What you can inspect

Read the permission and privacy boundaries here. When a public release is available, the download page provides its ZIP and matching checksum. A checksum identifies the artifact; it does not prove that an app is safe in every situation.

What transparency means here

  • Permission records are read-only and local
  • Capabilities, grants, running state, and action results stay distinct
  • No telemetry, automatic diagnostic upload, or network-traffic inspection
  • Licensing and configured update checks are narrow networking exceptions

Inspect your evidence

Local diagnostics provide a complete preview before you choose to copy or export. Unknown or missing evidence is labeled; Veil does not determine active surveillance.
