Why isn't the app listed in Full Disk Access?

On a fresh install, macOS may not show the app automatically. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Full Disk Access, click + , choose the app, then relaunch it.

Why does Veil need Full Disk Access?

Veil reads the local macOS permission database so it can show which other apps have sensitive access. Without Full Disk Access, that local scan is blocked by the OS.

Where is my license key?

The Pro license key arrives in the order receipt email and is also available from the hosted order page. Paste it into Preferences → License inside the app.

What if activation fails?

First verify the key was copied exactly. If you previously activated it on another Mac, check the up-to-3-Macs limit. Deactivate a Mac you no longer use when possible, then try again.

Free vs Pro

  • A seven-day full Pro trial starts with your first successfully Veiled session.
  • Permission inspection, saved app policies, session history, and local diagnostics remain free. There are no paid policy or history count limits.
  • Pro: Full Sensitive Session control, session export, and a customizable shortcut. $29. One-time purchase. Use on up to 3 Macs.
  • After trial expiry, new Sensitive Sessions need Pro; End & Restore and recovery remain available

Need help with a session?

Open Sessions → Diagnostics to preview a local explanation. It separates recorded permissions, attempted actions, verified results, Session Drift, and restoration. Nothing is uploaded automatically. Review before sharing, and never email your license key.

Why did an app stay open or fail to return?

Needs You means you should review the app yourself. Not Verified means Veil could not prove the requested result. Not Controlled includes items Veil has no authority to close, including Background Services. After End & Restore, reopen any failed app manually; Veil cannot recover unsaved work.
